John Howard, CEAP, LEAP, President/CEO

John Howard, CEAP, LEAP is the President/CEO of the Employee Assistance Network.  He has served in that capacity since 1985.  Mr. Howard has worked in the mental health, chemical dependency and EAP fields since 1972 as a counselor, educator, administrator and consultant.  As a Licensed Employee Assistance Professional with over 25 years experience, he has presented at numerous conferences as an expert on human behavior and it's impact on workplace productivity, behavioral risk management, violence prevention, ethics and healthcare cost containment.  As a consultant, he has assisted numerous EAP's in the audit of their service delivery systems and in the development of written business and marketing plans.  He is a past President of the North Carolina Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association  and was named their "Outstanding Member of the Year" in 1998.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the International EAP Association as Southern Regional Director and is currently a member of the International External Providers Committee.

Dawn M. Klug, LPC, Account Manager, Clinical Team Leader

Dawn Marie Klug is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling.  She has been working in the EAP field for over eight years and has experience in inpatient and outpatient substance abuse counseling as well as group, individual and couples counseling.  Her specialty areas include critical incident stress management and diversity in the workplace.  Dawn is currently the Clinical Team Leader at EAN and provides account management services, training, consultation, assessment, referral and brief counseling services.

Alice Massanari, LCSW

Alice Massanari, M.A., M.S.W.,L.C.S.W has been a staff counselor with the Employee Assistance Network since 1997.  She is a clinical social worker licensed by both the state of North Carolina and the state of Florida.  Her M.A. is in English from the University of New Orleans and her Master's degree in Social Work is from the University of South Florida.  She is a co-worker of Interactive Family Resources which writes and facilitates programs for parents of children with special health care needs and provides individual coaching and counseling for families and couples.

Leah Brown, LCSW

Leah W. Brown, MSW, LCSW joined Employee Assistance Network in January, 2008.  She is a clinical social worker licensed by the state of North Carolina.  Her Master's degree in Social Work is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Leah's specialty areas include grief/loss and dealing with chronic medical issues.  Leah provides training, consultation, assessment, referral and short-term counseling services at Employee Assistance Network.

Barbara Kruszewski, LCSW

Barbara Kruszewski, LCSW, CSAC, has worked for 22-years in an in-house government employee assistance program, before moving to Asheville, and beginning her work at EAN.  She is licensed in NC as a Clinical Social Worker and in Virginia as a Substance Abuse Counselor, and also has training in both Marriage and Family Counseling.  She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master's degree in counseling and from The Catholic University of America with a Master's degree in Social Work.  She is a long-time member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the National Association of Social Workers.
